The United States Embassy in Libya has joined the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in calling for a transparent and independent investigation into the death of activist Siraj Dughman while in custody at Rajma military camp.
“We continue to emphasize the need for due process and rule of law throughout Libya, and urge the swift release of all arbitrarily detained persons”, the embassy said on its X page.
