The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has held a two-day workshop on the rule of law in Libyan prisons for 30 officers from different departments of the Judicial Police.
The workshop covered international standards on detention, the rights of prisoners, use of force and prevention of torture, crisis management and contingency planning, according to the UNSMIL X platform page.
The workshop was part of an ongoing training programme aimed at strengthening the capacities of prison officers in the Judicial Police department.
