It has emerged that while Wexford man Frank Butler (62) was being sentenced to three and a half years in Florida State Prison for child sex offences in Florida this summer, his younger brother David Butler (59) had already begun a sentence in a Pennsylvania prison for transportation of child sexual abuse images.
David Butler was sentenced to five years in prison by Judge Claude M. Hilton in a United States District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, on June 5, at which time his older brother Frank was before the courts in Florida having exchanged a string of lewd messages and travelled to meet what he believed was a 13 year-old child for sex.
