Former champions Kenya Prisons will be seeking more points when Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) enters its second leg in Eldoret at the Eldoret Polytechnic grounds next weekend.
The two-day national league will run from December 2-3 with the second edition of the Eldoret City volleyball tournament being held on December 4-5 at the same venue.
Kenya Prisons’ women’s team head coach Josp Barasa said they are preparing well despite rains occasionally hampering their training.
“As much as we have weather challenges, we are training well. We take a break when it pours and resume training when it subsides,” said Barasa.
He said Eldoret has become his second home after playing in the City of Champions for a very long time.
“My team is good at the moment. The field will not be new to us because we have been there for some time. As much as it is raining at the moment, I am told the field is not that bad,” said Barasa.
In the first leg at the Mosoriot in Nandi, the wardress collected maximum points after winning two matches.
“Just like we did in Mosoriot, we want to collect all six points in Eldoret because we have what it takes. In Mosoriot, we beat Nairobi Prisons and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI),” added Barasa.
Kenya Prison will face off with Bunge in the opening match before taking on newbies Maranatha in the next match.
