P Diddy’s mental state in ‘hell’ prison that’s ‘worst in US’ analyzed by expert

Hip hop titan Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, facing a grim wait for his trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. After being denied bail twice, Diddy remains confined until his court date.

Sam Mangel, a federal prison consultant with clients at the same facility, spoke to The Mirror about Diddy’s current predicament, suggesting that this period might ironically be the safest for the mogul if he ends up convicted.

Sam remarked: “Now he will be safe in that no other inmate will be able to get to him. He’s truly lost his freedom now…this might be the safest time he has should he be convicted.”

He continued: “Right now he’s surrounded by four walls. Due to his high profile, they will not put somebody else in with him. The Bureau of Prisons will not run the risk of putting a cell mate with him at all,” reports the Mirror US.

Sam also highlighted the SHU’s cacophony, where Diddy will endure “people banging on the cell blocks all night, yelling, crying.” Describing it as akin to “hell”, Sam noted that amidst the relentless noise, Diddy’s only respite will be a shirt over his head to muffle the sounds.

He further stated: “There’s no peace and quiet just because you’re by yourself.” Diddy was put on suicide watch not due to any signs of suicidal tendencies, but because of the jail’s reputation. The MDC’s special housing section is separated from the rest of the prison population.

High-profile celebrity inmates like R. Kelly, Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Michael Cohen have all served time at MDC. Jeffrey Epstein died in the prison by suicide, although there are various conspiracy theories surrounding his death.

Sam commented: “After what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, the last thing the bureau of prison wants is another high profile individual having an accident, trying to hurt themselves.”
