Nebraska Teen Being Held in Laramie County Jail on $50K Cash Bond

Bond was set at $50,000 cash Wednesday for a Scottsbluff, Nebraska teen charged in Laramie County with multiple felonies.

The Arrest

According to a booking sheet, 19-year-old Kamrin Collins Rivera was picked up at Warren Avenue and East 17th Street in Cheyenne at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, and taken to the police department.

Police say during the investigation, it was determined there was probable cause to arrest Rivera on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, conspiracy, using a firearm while committing a felony, and interference with a peace officer.

Rivera was handcuffed and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue.

Rivera Charged With 3 Felonies, 1 Misdemeanor

Rivera was subsequently charged with three felonies, including aggravated assault and battery – threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison; kidnapping – by force, threat, or deception, a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison; and aggravated robbery – deadly weapon, a crime punishable by 5 to 25 years in prison.

Rivera was also charged with interference with a peace officer – no injury, a misdemeanor.

Bond Set at $50K Cash

On Wednesday, Jan. 22, Rivera made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court before Judge Antoinette Williams, during which she set his bond at $50,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 3 p.m.

Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
