Made In Chelsea star marries father of her baby weeks after he leaves prison

Made In Chelsea’s Victoria Baker-Harber has married Inigo Philbrick, two months after he was released from prison for art fraud worth £80m.

Mum-of-one, Victoria, 36, wed the former gallery owner last Monday, after Inigo, also 36, served two years of a seven-year sentence for defrauding wealthy clients, forging documents and faking an investor.

After officially becoming husband and wife, the couple plan to celebrate their nuptials with family and friends in June, when Inigo’s electronic tag is due to come off.

Inigo was arrested in 2020 when Victoria was five and a half months pregnant with their daughter, Gaia, and sentenced two years later. He was released to home detention in New York where he reunited with his young family.

In a new interview, the protege of top art dealer Jay Jopling admitted he didn’t feel any guilt about breaking the law, saying he was simply overambitious and “greedy” – which he believes is a “natural human state”.

Defending his actions, he said: “There are a lot of people who look at it and say, Look, I didn’t kill anyone; I didn’t do anything violent in any sort of way. Beyond that, the people who are involved in my case… no one missed a meal; nobody didn’t send their children to university. I don’t think that anyone in this whole story is guilty of much more than greed and ambition.

“I don’t think any good business happens without ambition, and I think greed is a natural human state. I’d feel a lot more guilt if I had been drink-driving or if I’d been selling drugs and someone had died,” reports The Sunday Times.

Victoria, who was raised in London’s swanky Belgravia, found fame on E4’s Made In Chelsea in 2011, where she became known for her sassy attitude and close friendship with Mark-Francis Vandelli.

Now, the reality star has used her TV contacts to bag a show where she and Inigo talk about his life in prison, which she says was her husband’s idea.

Speaking to the Mail last year, she said: “I’m doing a documentary. It’s about my fiancé and his time in prison. It’s wild… He’s all for it. It was his idea.” Victoria added: “He didn’t murder anyone. He put his hands up and admitted what he did do, and takes full responsibility and accountability, but everyone makes mistakes.”

The mum-of-one posted a photo of her young family on Instagram following Inigo’s release with the caption: “A long stretch, but here we are!”

The proud parents met in 2016, on a yacht trip – via mutual friends – after Inigo ended his relationship with Francisca Mancini, with whom he shares another daughter.

Speaking about his introduction into the art world, the so-called “serial swindler” told Vanity Fair: “Early on I spent a lot of time in artists’ studios. I became fluent in [the art] world and enjoyed seeing what artists were working on. I wanted to be a lawyer, but I was soon fascinated by the commerce of the gallery world.”
