{KXLG – Watertown, SD} All charges against Shane Michael Larson, 46, of Watertown, have now been dismissed in connection with a case involving allegations of sexual misconduct.
Larson was initially arrested and charged on January 29, 2025, with four counts related to sexual activity. The charges included:
- One count of hiring for sexual activity (Misdemeanor 1)
- Three counts of sexual penetration by a psychotherapist (Felony 4)
According to court records, all four charges stemmed from a citation issued by the Watertown Police Department on January 29, 2025.
Court records indicate that all four charges were dismissed on motions by the prosecutor. The three felony charges of sexual penetration by a psychotherapist were dismissed on February 13, 2025. The misdemeanor charge of hiring for sexual activity was dismissed on February 28, 2025.
Attorney Rick Ribstein represented Larson. Attorney Lindsey Quasney represented the State of South Dakota.
