To us Palestinians, the many statements by ministers Bezalel Smotrich, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and their ilk – racist as they may be – are unsurprising. They expose a covert policy that has been couched in polite terms and which has guided Israeli governments for years toward Palestinians on both sides of the Green Line.
