The Prince William Board of County Supervisors is considering entering into an agreement with a developer to construct a multimillion dollar athletics facility that would feature an indoor pool, a hydraulic running track and hard-surface courts for basketball, volleyball and pickleball.

2. Casino robbery sentencing

A Prince William County judge on Oct. 6 sentenced a Washington, D.C., man to 98 years in prison with 45 suspended in the attempted murder and robbery of a casino winner who was followed from MGM National Harbor to his Dale City home in December 2019.

1. No backing out

A federal judge has prevented landowners who sold their property to make way for the PW Digital Gateway data center project from backing out of the agreement, ruling that their efforts to sever the contract were illegitimate and would likely impede the plan’s approval process.
