Incarcerated: Contemporary Arts from the Victorian Prison | Midlands Arts Centre 2023

An exhibition of drawing, sculpture, crafts and writing by people serving time in prisons that were built nearly 200 years ago. Bringing this material into conversation with new photography from Andy Aitchison, archival documents and interviews, it prompts conversations about living and working conditions in historical institutions today.

Presented by the Universities of Birmingham and Bath, in partnership with the Howard League for Penal Reform.
