REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2023-10040175, 2300 block of N. Powhatan Street. At approximately 7:23 p.m. on October 5, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect gained entry to a vacant residence. Responding officers established a perimeter and gave the suspect commands to exit the residence which she did not comply with and remained inside. Officers continued to provide commands before entering the home and taking the suspect into custody. During a search of her property, police recovered identifications, credit cards and other documents related to fraudulent activity. The investigation also determined the suspect had allegedly entered a residence in the 1400 block of S. Quincy Street. Vivian Vann, 52, of Dania Beach, FL was arrested and charged with Burglary, Unlawful Entry, Possession of a Fake ID (x2), Identity Theft (x4), Forgery (x5), Obtaining Money by False Pretenses, Grand Larceny Auto (x2) and Procure Vehicle with Intent to Defraud. The investigation is ongoing.
