REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2023-11140030, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 4:42 a.m. on November 14, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. A lookout was broadcast and an officer located the suspect at S. Four Mile Run Drive and Columbia Pike and gave him commands to stop which the suspect disregarded. Following a foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect allegedly forced entry into the closed business and stole merchandise before fleeing the scene. Jeremy Soto, 19, of Falls Church, VA was arrested and charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Larceny, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY, 2023-11130189, 800 block of N. Wayne Street. At approximately 6:57 p.m. on November 13, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined a witness observed the suspect gain entry into a residence and contacted police. Responding officers established a perimeter, located the suspect on scene and took her into custody without incident. The investigation determined the suspect caused damage to a window. Daniella Sniffen, 27, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Destruction of Property.
BURGLARY (late), 2023-11130048, 1600 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 8:33 a.m. on November 13, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 6:11 a.m. on November 12, the two unknown suspects arrived at the closed business. Suspect One remained outside while Suspect Two entered the business, rummaged through items and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Suspect One is described as a Black male with a skinny build wearing all black clothing. Suspect Two is described male with a skinny build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and grey pants. The investigation is ongoing.
BOMB THREAT, 2023-11130058, 5800 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 9:47 a.m. on November 13, police were dispatched to the report of a telephoned bomb threat received at Swanson Middle School. Prior to police arrival, the school was placed on lockdown. Responding officers searched the property and no evidence of a crime was located. The investigation into the circumstances of the telephone threat is ongoing.
