U.S. President Joe Biden, speaking from White House on the release of Americans detained in Russia, said “their brutal ordeal is over.” Russia, the United States, and several other countries have undertaken the largest prisoner swap since the end of the Cold War, with 16 people being released from Russian and Belarusian prisons, while eight Russians will return home.
