On Friday night the Hope Center Church hosted a Christmas event sponsored by Angel Tree. Part of the non-profit Prison Fellowship organization, Angel Tree supports families with incarcerated parents by hosting camps and other events. For Christmas they provide gifts to the children.
The event was hosted by Heather Urich and run by Bev Pippen; most of the volunteers were personal acquaintances and friends who agreed to help. In attendance were 13 children across six families; up to 20 children were invited but Angel Tree only received nominations for those present.
