UPDATE (4/22/24) — A Delaware County man was sentenced to life in prison on Monday for sexually abusing a 5-year-old child.
Glenn David Nickols, 41, was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated sexual abuse of minor under 12 years of age in Indian Country and sexual exploitation of a child. If released, he will be required to register as a sex offender and will also be placed on supervised release, the Office of U.S. Attorney Clinton J. Johnson announced.
“Project Safe Childhood is our commitment to have our children grow up without fear of exploitation,” said U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. “This life sentence holds Nickols accountable for his predatory actions and puts him in prison where he cannot exploit another child.”
Nickols was previously sentenced in Delaware County to 10 years in prison for aggravated possession of child pornography and distributing obscene material, relating to possessing additional images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of other children, the announcement said.
The 5-year-old victim is a tribal member.
Nickols will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

An Afton, Okla. man pleaded guilty Thursday, Jan. 26, in federal court for filming himself sexually abusing a young child, according to U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.
Forty-year-old Glenn David Nickols pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual abuse of a minor under 12 years old in Indian County and sexual exploitation of a child.
Court records revealed that, in March 2021, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) received a CyberTipline report related to an email account used by Nickols to send out more than 100 videos and images of child sexual abuse. However, agents noticed that several files were not previously identified victims of child sexual abuse material.
The images and videos showed multiple instances of a man wearing a hat with the name “Buckster” sexually abusing a child with tape over her mouth and whose arms and legs were restrained, according to court documents.
After identifying Nickols and his address, OSBI conducted a search warrant on his home where they seized evidence of the abuse. Court records said agents were also able to identify the young Native American victim and made sure she was safe from any future harm.
Nickols was also arrested and identified by OSBI agents. During the interview, he identified himself as the adult man seen in the videos. Court records indicated that he said his nickname was “Buck,” and that he was the owner of the account. He also admitted he was the owner of the account. He told agents, according to court records, that the abuse took place in his home in Afton, within the bounds of the Cherokee Nation.
