Administrative and Political Unit of Wilaya of Shaheed Al-Hafed announces its participation in international march for release of Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails | Sahara Press Service (SPS)

Shaheed Al-Hafed, April 23, 2025 (SPS) – The Administrative and Political Unit of the Wilaya of Shaheed Al-Hafed announced its participation in the international march, the March of Freedom, aimed at securing the release of Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails. The announcement was made in the presence of the Minister of Occupied Territories and Communities, a delegation from the occupied territories, and officials from the Sahrawi political organization and state.

On this occasion, a gathering was organized attended by members of institutions, ministries, associations, and national organizations present in the Wilaya. Speeches were delivered affirming their support for the international march, the March of Freedom, for the release of Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails, and expressing solidarity with the prisoners in Moroccan occupation prisons.

The Minister of Occupied Territories and Communities, Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mustafa Mohamed Ali Sid Al-Bashir, addressed in his speech the violations of human rights and the infringement on Sahrawi properties by the Moroccan occupation, recalling the recent actions by the occupation authorities, including the demolition of homes and confiscation of Sahrawi properties.

The minister praised the quick response of Sahrawis in all their locations to join the international march, the March of Freedom, for the release of Sahrawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails.

The speech of the delegation of the occupied territories emphasized the continuation of resistance, stating that the enemy’s methods and tools of repression will not deter the activists of the occupied territories from their struggle for freedom and independence.

The gathering included the recitation of poetry celebrating the struggle and resistance of our people in the occupied territories, expressing pride in the heroism of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army.
