Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, affirmed on Saturday that the Zionist entity’s efforts to subvert the justice system undermine the international order.
Aboul Gheit met with Karim Khan, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, as part of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, said the Secretary-General’s official spokesman, Jamal Rushdi, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He explained that “the discussion focused on the serious Zionist crimes committed by the occupation in Gaza, and the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and its important role in prosecuting the perpetrators of these crimes among the Zionist officials.”
“The Secretary-General expressed his support for the Prosecutor in the face of the great pressures he is facing. Khan is doing important work in defending the credibility of the international justice system, which has long been tarnished by accusations of duplicity and hypocrisy,” Rushdi indicated.
He explained that “the Zionist entity’s efforts to subvert and challenge the justice system, with the help of some countries, unfortunately, undermine the rules-based international order and will have serious repercussions that go beyond the Gaza tragedy with all the crimes and massacres committed therein.”
