MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The U.S. The Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Raheem Walker, age 22, of Muskogee was sentenced to two and half years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The charges came from an investigation by the United States Marshals Service and the Muskogee police Department.
On January 3, Walker pleaded guilty to one count of felon in possession of firearm and ammunition.
According to investigators, on October 28, 2023, while responding to a report of a disturbance at a Muskogee home, officers discovered Walker in possession of one 9mm Luger caliber semi-automatic pistol and 12 rounds of 9mm Luger caliber ammunition.
At the time of the disturbance, Walker had been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year and was prohibited from possessing firearms.
Walker will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal, pending transportation to a designated U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
