India’s criminal justice system will be the most modern in the world: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister, Amit Shah has said that emerging threats like narcotics trade, cybercrime, infiltration, terrorism and attempts to spread unrest through artificial intelligence cannot stand against the unwavering resolve of the country’s soldiers. While paying homage to the martyrs on Police Commemoration Day at the National Police Memorial in New Delhi yesterday,

Mr Shah noted that over the past decade, the country has succeeded in establishing peace due to the dedication and efficiency of security forces. He highlighted that for decades, there had been disruptions of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, areas affected by Left-wing extremism, and the Northeast.

The Minister mentioned that the implementation of the three new criminal laws passed by the Parliament has already begun in all the states and union territories. He said that

once these laws are fully implemented, the country’s criminal justice system will become the most modern justice system in the world. He added that justice will be served within three years for any crime registered in any corner of the country. Mr Shah also emphasized that the path to overcoming delays in justice lies in the implementation of these three new laws.

Underscoring schemes launched by the government for the welfare of police personnel, Mr Shah mentioned that through the Ayushman CAPF scheme, more than 41 lakh cards have been distributed and 13 lakh claims worth about 1422 crore rupees have been settled. He said that the health of soldiers and their families is being taken care of anywhere through this card. He said that the government has set a target to increase the housing satisfaction ratio.
