Danny Masterson’s daughter visits for first time since rapist’s sentence began

Danny Masterson ‘s 10-year-old daughter visited him in prison for the first time since he was sentenced to 30 years behind bars.

The disgraced former That 70s Show actor was visited by his estranged wife Bijou Phillip s and their daughter Fianna after he turned 48 inside California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo. It was a far cry from his 47th celebrations which were said to have taken place at their lavish £1million ranch in Santa Ynez, California.

Phillips, 43, cut a solemn figure as she looked stony-faced on her first prison trip to see her former husband of 12 years. She wore a baggy green jumper and beige trousers for the occasion and clutched a piece of paper, while Fianna wore a blue t-shirt and black leggings.

It’s the first time in almost a year Masterson has seen his daughter and the first time Phillips has visited after he was sent down after being found guilty of two of three rape counts in May. Phillips initially stood by the actor but filed for divorce just days after his sentencing.

Phillips cited “irreconcilable differences” after she had described Masterson as an “amazing father” in an emotional letter to the courts during his trial. Masterson allowed Phillips full legal and physical custody of Fianna, but documents obtained by TMZ at the time claimed Masterson allegedly asked for visitation rights that would be supervised while he serves his prison sentence.

A jury found Masterson guilty of his crimes on May 31 last year before confirming his lengthy sentence in September. The assaults occurred in 2003; during which time he was actively filming the hit series, That 70s Show alongside Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Masterson was also alleged to have raped a third woman but the jury wasn’t able to reach a unanimous decision on the third allegation and therefore the charges were dismissed. His first trial initially ended in a hung jury in November 2022.

Masterson’s That 70s Show co-stars Kutcher and Kunis also wrote letters of support for him during his trial, with Kutcher calling Masterson a “role model”. Kunis called him an “exceptional character” in her letter of support. The pair faced huge backlash following his sentencing and later apologised for their actions.
