Lynn man sentenced to 37 months in prison for art fraud case with murder trial looming

A Lynn man charged with his wife’s high-profile killing was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in a separate art fraud case involving the sale of counterfeit Andy Warhol paintings.

Brian Walshe, 49, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Boston to 37 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to charges connected to a scheme to sell fake Warhol paintings on eBay in 2016 for $80,000, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy for the District of Massachusetts.
