Mental illness, criminal justice

Last month, I visited the Lumberjack Tavern in Big Bay, Michigan. The Tavern opened in 1938 and, other than the addition of a digital jukebox, little has changed since then.  The Tavern feels like an old cabin, with rough log siding on the outside, and walls and floors covered in wood planks inside. It’s a quaint place in a quiet town of 257 along Lake Superior.
