It was a big night for music in Minnesota! Two major superstars took the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium for a packed show.
Jelly Roll and Post Malone brought their mix of country pop to our neck of the woods and I have never been so sad to miss a concert ever!
The concert was announced back in November so it’s been a long wait! It was all part of Post Malone’s headlining tour, which has a name I can’t really say here. Ha!
The show finally took place on Tuesday (May 20th) and it was worth the wait based on all the comments I have seen! However, it is what happened before the show that really has people talking.

The country star surprised inmates and staff with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office prior to his show on Tuesday, visiting the Adult Detention Center in the area. He spoke to detainees about how he turned his life around after being in jail for years.

Jelly Roll has a long and storied history. He got his first criminal charge at thirteen and then spent more than a decade after that in and out of the system. This has made it difficult to travel to see fans in other countries.
Jelly Roll’s Message To Minnesota Inmates About Hope & Redemption
He always promised himself that if he made it big, he would use his platform to spread the message of redemption and he has definitely stayed true to his word.
He often visits detention centers and such to share his story and inspire others to make the most of their time in jail so they can turn their life around when they get out.
It was clear by the videos and photos shared by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office that the visit was a big hit and meant a lot to everyone, including the staff who witnessed Jelly Roll telling his story.

He was even given a commemorative key to the jail. You can tell that he truly cares about his mission and the people he is preaching to, shaking their hands and taking time with each and every one.
