PROSSER, Wash. – Prosser Police Department arrested a Housel Middle School student after she made “vague and non-credible” threats against the school.
According to a press release, PPD received the report of threats on Sunday, Sept. 22. An investigation led to a 14-year-old Housel student who police arrested and booked into the Benton Franklin Juvenile Justice Center.
According to the FBI, it’s a federal offense to make threats against schools with the possibility of more than two years in jail.
Prosser Police said it provided extra patrols to the school on both Monday and Tuesday.
